How it works
At Around The Table, we’re proud to donate $1 to a school or community group of your choice for every meal purchased. When you subscribe to Around The Table, you’re making eating together as a family a priority – while supporting your local community. We call this fundraising that matters.
You can select a school or community group you’d like to support at checkout.
How do schools and community groups receive donations?
It’s simple for schools and community groups to fundraise with Around The Table:
- Register your school or community group by completing the Advocate Application Form.
- We’ll contact you to arrange an Around The Table Information Session where we’ll share the social, emotional and academic benefits of eating together as a family, and provide tips for parents to get the most out of eating Around The Table.
- Following this session, people buying Around The Table meals will be able to nominate your school or group to receive their donations at checkout.
- Donations to your school or community group will be automatically transferred to them. These funds can be used at the school or group’s discretion.
The more your school or community group supports Around the Table, the more both families and the community benefit.
Why is the Around The Table information session so important?
Changing a family's evening routine can be difficult.
With the number of families eating together at the table declining, our mission is to give parents a compelling reason to make a change and provide support to do so. The Healthy kids Association informs us that;
"Research shows that families who eat together regularly (that's more than three times a week), have more positive outcomes when it comes to healthy, family relationships and social development."
We look to schools and community groups to help advocate this important message through information sessions run by Around The Table. The 15-minute sessions are designed to increase awareness of the many benefits of eating dinner together and help parents get the most from this valuable family time.
